Ghost Rider is one of Playtech’s many Marvel franchised slot machine games. Ghost Rider is based on the major motion picture of the comic book. Unfortunately, the graphics used in the slot aren’t quite Nicholas Cage, though they have decided to create a CG version of his character (Johnny Blaze) for the slot machine game. How to play Ghost Rider slots online

This slot uses 5 reels and a total of 20 paylines to entice gamers into playing it. It is also available at most Playtech casinos, as are most Marvel slot games. The coin vales in this slot vary from £0.01 to £5 per coin. A total of 20 coins per line can be wagered; making the top line bet £50 per line. The minimum wager that can be placed in Ghost Rider is £0.01 per line, per spin. At its most expensive, the slot game will cost players £1,000 per spin. The icons used in this slot are Johnny Blaze and the demon, a book and a scroll as the highest paying icons. The lowest paying icons are the standard high playing card icons, which never really amount to any large wins. The demon, will payout 1,000 coins if five of this icon are struck on a payline.

Ghost Rider bonus features

The Ghost Rider logo will trigger a free spins bonus round if three or more appear anywhere on the reels. The free spin games are afforded a 3x multiplier, with the wild icon becoming an expanding wild during the free spins bonus round. Free spins can be retriggered during a free spins bonus round. The Ghost Hunt Bonus Round cannot be triggered during free spins though.

The flaming motorbike is the bonus icon in this slot, and when five appear anywhere on the reels, the bonus round will be triggered.

The wild symbols

This slot uses a standard wild symbol for normal play. It is represented by a flaming skull, and can substitute itself for all symbols, except for the scatter/free spins icon and the motorbike bonus symbol. The wild icon appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 and becomes an expanding wild during the free spins bonus round.

The Ghost Hunt bonus

Once a player has 5 motorbike bonus icons on the middle of the reels, the Ghost Hunt Bonus Round begins.

In the bonus round, a player must help the Ghost Rider hunt down 10 ghosts. Although the player can catch at least seven ghosts, some will elude him or her, although there is no time limit on the bonus game. After the player has caught their ghosts, the wins are accumulated and the bonus game ends.

The Marvel progressive jackpot

Of course, being a major Marvel progressive jackpot slot, all four of the Marvel progressive jackpots are available to be won. This jackpot is unique to all Marvel themed slot games, and consists of a four tiered jackpot structure.

All four of the Marvel progressive jackpots are triggered randomly during gameplay, so any spin at any stake is theoretically capable of landing a progressive jackpot. The jackpots of divided up into Power Jackpot (for the lowest stakes), Extra Power, Super Power Jackpot and the Ultimate Power Jackpot (for players with maximum stakes and paylines).

Even the smallest progressive jackpot will payout in the hundreds of pounds range, whilst thousands, hundreds of thousands and millions are the payouts for the other jackpots, provided that they haven’t been won for a while.

In order to win one of the Marvel progressive jackpots, a player will be taken to a separate screen, where they are introduced to a 4×5, 20-box screen. If a player manages to uncover three identical symbols, they will win that progressive jackpot.

This is a hugely popular slot, due to the progressive jackpot. Considering that anybody can win a progressive jackpot of some value, not just the rich, it will remain so. This works a player’s advantage, because although the jackpots are won often, the totals they can go up to are very satisfying indeed.
