Full Review

It is rather fitting that Scandinavian online casino software developers Net Entertainment, should come up with a Viking-esque themed slot, focusing on the typical Norse Gods of mythology and legend. The main Norse Gods have been represented here along with an item that belongs to each of them. The graphics aren’t exactly superb, but for what Hall of Gods is intended to be, they suffice just nicely. There are a lot of Norse mythology themed slots out there, so the big question is, does this Net Ent release stand out? The answer is a resounding yes!

How to play Hall of Gods slots online

This slot machine features 5 reels and has a total of 20 paylines that players cannot activate or deactivate at their choosing. Hall of Gods isn’t the most popular Net Ent slot, but it can found in most good casinos running Net Ent software.

Coin values vary from £0.01 up to £0.02, £0.05, £0.10, £0.20 and £0.50, whilst the player can bet on five levels per spin, meaning a total of five coins per line. This makes the wager limits in this slot vary from a floor of £0.20 per spin, up to £50.00 per spin.

There are ten main symbols in this slot game. The highest five paying symbols are the Norse Gods themselves. Odin, Thor, Freya, Loki and Idun make up those gods, whilst the lowest paying symbols are items belonging to said gods. A ring, a hammer, a pendant, an axe and a chest of apples are those symbols.

Hall of Gods bonus features

The scatter symbol in this slot is a pair of birds set against the moon. This scatter icon will award free spins if three or more are located anywhere on the reels. 3 scatter icons awards 10 free spins, whilst 15 free spins are awarded for 4 scatters and 20 free spins are awarded for gathering 5 scatter symbols. Free spin wins are rewarded with a 3x multiplier.

The wild symbol

The wild icon in the slot is the dragon symbol. This symbol appears as an expanding wild icon only on reels 2, 3 and 4. Like most wild icons, it substitutes itself for any other symbol needed to complete a payline, with the exception of the bonus and scatter symbols. Only the highest win per pay line is paid out with the wild icon.

The bonus round

The hammer and shield acts as this slots bonus icon. Three or more of these bonus icons will activate the bonus round. In Hall of Gods, the bonus round offers one of three potential jackpots that can be won. There is a pattern in that the larger the bet and wager, the larger the jackpot will be that is offered. The bonus games as a sort of scratch card. The player will be presented with a series of boxes on a 3×5 screen. The player must match up three winning jackpot icons in order to win the jackpot.

The Hall of Gods jackpot

As mentioned, one of the three main jackpots can be won in the bonus round of this slot. The three jackpots are the Mini Jackpot, Midi Jackpot and Mega Jackpot. The likelihood of winning the jackpot depends on how much the player has wagered. This is a progressive jackpot slot, and so there is no maximum amount that can be won with any of the jackpots. Generally, the default maximum jackpot is fixed at a low of 20,000 coins, or £10,000. On a good day, the progressive Mega Jackpot could be worth over £3 million, with the Midi and Mini jackpots averaging around £25,000 and a grand, respectively.

Other notes on Hall of Gods

It is simply marvellous that Net Entertainment has made Hall of Gods a progressive jackpot slot. What is even better is that the Scandinavian company has had the initiative to make it a treble jackpot progressive, meaning that any player, no matter how they are set for funds, can technically compete to win a large progressive jackpot.

What makes this slot even more rewarding is that there are it is a positively cheap progressive jackpot slot to play, costing a mere £50 for the maximum spin. The greatness in this title is only further helped by the fact that its lower paying symbols also offer decent prize payouts, and there are plenty of goodies in the bonus round too.

Scattered wins, free spins and a decent amount of paylines really make Hall of Gods a complete slot machine, for it has the lot; multipliers and everything. Yes, the graphics and audio aren’t of the highest quality, but if it came down to a toss-up between graphics and audio versus chances of winning big prizes, it is all too clear which way gamers would swing!
